Sisterhood

Sisterhood is such an important part of every chapter, and it is something that we hold near and dear to our hearts at Alpha Xi Delta!

In Alpha Xi Delta there is always a sister willing to grab ice cream with you or accompany you on a run to the grocery store, but to further strengthen the bond between sisters, we hold multiple sisterhood events throughout the year. Activities we have held recently include going to the pumpkin patch, having a bonfire with s’mores, watching movies outside on our lawn, testing our teamwork skills at K-State’s challenge course, and taking a trip out to Pillsbury Crossing to get some sun!

Our sisters also do a ton of informal activities together such as have “Bachelor” watch parties at the house, go to sporting events to cheer on the Cats, hike the Konza Prairie, drink coffee while studying at Bluestem Bistro, or go to the K-State recreation center to rock climb! Along with all of these activities, it is so nice to regroup every Wednesday night at formal dinner and catch up with our sisters over a delicious meal.

Another one of our favorite aspects of sisterhood is Mom/Dot! During a new member's first semester in Alpha Xi Delta she receives a "mom" in the chapter who is typically a year older than her, and throughout the sister's entire time in our chapter she knows that she can always turn to her mom or the rest of her family for anything. Mom/Dot is just one more way we turn Alpha Xi Delta into our sisters' true home away from home!
