Letter From Membership Vice President

Hello potential new members and parents,

My name is Linley Wilson and I have the privilege of being the Alpha Kappa chapter of Alpha Xi Delta’s membership vice president for the 2025 formal recruitment season. Currently, I am a sophomore studying Dietetics, with a minor in Well-Being. I can’t put into words how grateful I am for this opportunity to lead our chapter. I am so excited to invite y’all into our home in just a few shorts months!

If you’re reading this get excited! Coming to college is a life changing event and joining a sorority is a great way to find your people and build friendships. Sorority involvement allows for opportunities to grow in service, sisterhood, and campus involvement. Whether you’re seeking out a leadership position, service hours, or a new community of loving and supportive women, Alpha Xi Delta is a great place to look. Our sisterhood allows members to grow wishing themselves and the chapter.

The decision to become an Alpha Xi Delta’s is one that has brightened my college experience in ways only sisterhood can. I am a local, which means I grew up on purple and white and man am I lucky I chose Kansas State University. What people don’t know until coming to Manhattan is that it’s incredibly unique because it has a university smack dab in the center, and a bustling town surrounding it. Locals are everywhere you look and we love the college students! Being from Manhattan just makes our local philanthropy that more impactful. Being able to give back to the community is so special to not only me, but all my sisters. I know how intimidating recruitment can be, especially surrounded by women you may or may not know. These women I get to call my sisters are my biggest supporters, the ones who I can call no matter what, the ones who bring me dairy free ice cream after I bombed my Anatomy exam. But the most special thing about Alpha Xi Delta is that I get to be that to them. This sisterhood means the world to me and I cannot wait to share it with y’all.
